we really enjoyed our stay. the atmosphere is lovely and makes u feel at home. the staff were super friendly and professional. the views from our room overlooking the golf course were stunning. had a real nice quiet location that's perfect for relaxing.
the room could use some updates and the bathroom felt a lil outdated.

Spent six nights in a cozy family suite and really loved the amazing views over the golf course. The garden area and sun terrace were perfect spots to relax after a long day. Just a heads-up, the dinner menu was more casual than expected, but overall it was a lovely stay! 🌟

We enjoyed the amazing meals here, especially the delicious breakfast and their fantastic burgers! The sun terrace is perfect for relaxing, and the beautiful garden area offers some nice views too. Just a note, the bathroom could have used a bit more attention, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. 😊

We had a lovely stay and were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us to a family suite, which my daughters absolutely loved! The garden area was perfect for a relaxing afternoon, and we enjoyed some quality time on the sun terrace too. The only downside was the slow check-in process, but it didn’t ruin our fun at all! 🌼

Stunning scenery and views, historical building with character, room variety to suit different preferences
Urgent need for refurbishment!!! Outdated public areas detract from the overall experience and give an impression of neglect, which is disappointing for the hotel’s price point!!! Clearer signage is essential for easy navigation within this sprawling place!!!

The staff provided exceptional service. particularly, Issy was attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our experience. The views from the grounds are stunning, creating a peaceful atmosphere that is hard to beat.
The blonde manager seemed unapproachable, which was a bit off-putting.

missingWrote a review on Sept 06stunning sceneryexquisite culinary delightsroom needs refurbishmentnoticeable noiselimited information on improvements
The stay exceeded expectations with stunning scenery and a beautifully designed room, particularly noted for its immense freestanding bath. The culinary delights were a highlight, especially the exquisite crab and perfectly tender lamb, making each meal memorable. the room showed signs of wear, indicating a need for refurbishment, and some noise was noticeable at times, which slightly detracted from the experience. The commitment to improve the accommodations is encouraging, suggesting future stays will be even better.

Great stay near Dartmoor Zoo!
Had a lovely 2-night stay in the Superior King Room. Location was on point—10 min walk to Dartmoor Zoo and just a short drive to Plymouth. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The golf course views were nice, but a bit of building work outside kinda took away from the charm. Dining in the bar area was fun, but the tea could’ve been better.
